What are the specs on that cam? Thinking of doing that same build when my 351 gets tired.

Adv. Duration 254/263, lift .477/.493, LSA 111°

This cam is an excellent choice for a Windsor in a jet boat...

Looks great. Can't wait to hear how it runs! I wanted to build mine into a 408 stroker but decided to hold off for now.

This is the same cam I'm using isn't it?

The #s stock with a stainless AA were:
All with 2 guys and full fuel 53gal
WOT 3950 RPMS @ 42mph
Cruise 3350 @ 33mph
8gh @ cruise

I think the AA impeller will be fine

I have also really bearing/sealed the pump and added a hydraulic place diverter trim pump is a at sd309

I'm extremely interested to see how much rpm you pick up with the new engine. Did you have the aluminum heads on the old motor, or was it a stock 351?

Awesome, that's where I started, put on a set of GT40X aluminum heads last year, picked up 300 rpm there, plan to do a 408 this winter...

I too am interested in what rpm increase you'll see. I'm just doing a head swap to iron GT40s and that same cam. I'm hoping for a couple hundred rpm.

Is that the original spacer under the carb I see? If so, you may already know this but you'll need to install it upside down from the way it came in order to work on the edelbrock manifold..

So would that be with the void facing the carb?

Yes. If you put the void down, you'll get a large vacuum leak on the edelbrock manifold as it doesn't have as much material on the carb pad as the stock iron intake does..

So water test today..... built the engine internally balanced and didn't give a thought to the flywheel. Turns out it has a 50oz weight imbalance. Vibration was felt we pulled the engine in 24 minutes flywheel is going to machine shop in the morning .....
