The captain put in at Riverside on the Clackamas River and went up river about two miles and lost two v-belts on the Yanmar Diesel. So the captain who has extra parts put the boat (4.24) metric tons on a gravel bar so he could work on it. He started working on it and 5 boats stopped to see if I needed help. I said no we are good to go.

Replaced two belts but didn't want to start boat because of rocks going into pump. So we took a 22' Duckworth and tried to pull the boat back into deep water. We had it floating and fired up engine and tried to clear battery alarm. I dropped down river maybe 30 feet and put boat into the back eddy to hold and clear alarms. The current was strong and the boat was being pulled back into a bad spot and I needed to make a move. Alarms were going off and just at that time a big new Bentz pulled up and blocked the only place where I could beach it without screwing myself. He set there for a few min. and I'm having alarms going off so I stuffed the power to my diesel and backed downriver and went around the Bentz and hung up on a gravel bar above the Bentz. At this time I sucked up rocks in my pump and was screwed. So I stuffed the boat in reverse and poured the power to it to get it floating again. Was floating again and had no push out of the pump so it was late and I started my kicker and went downriver to Riverside and put it on the trailer. So the guy in the Bentz on our next group run is bringing Trump Burgers for the group and he also needs to bring cold beer and I will forget this ever happen. This is my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL
