New Guy in Seattle Area

Hi All,

East coast saltwater fishing transplant finally taking the salmon chasing freshwater plunge.

I am really looking forward to exploring the area waters and learning a new (and complicated restriction wise) fishery. I will post a picture of my 1981 inboard sled once I have a descent picture of it in the wild.

Right now the front runner is the boat in 2" of water after picking a wrong fork on the Skykomish river east of the confluence with the Snoqualmie a few weeks ago and not having the boat handling experience to complete the turn, back down or otherwise avoid ground contact as the fork flattened out and got shallow.

A few dips in the river to cool off, an anchor float and an 8' piece of drift wood and we were on our way in an hour and a half flat. Need to up my recovery tool set and practice some boat handling skills a little more.
