Magnum boat

Postby Magnum04 » Sat Feb 23, 2019 11:38 pm

Hi, I'm new to this page and to the jet boat world. I recently purchased a 24' magnum jet boat that was supposedly built by Ernie Duckworth after he sold his Duckworth company. Does anyone have any knowledge of Ernie building this jet boat. Thanks.

Thanks guys for the help. For some reason I can't post pics. The boat has a 8.1 with 212hj. It looks just like a Duckworth inside and out. Thanks again for any info.

The Heineke’s (I could be wrong on the name) built those in Clackamas, Or. They owned Duckworth for a while and then sold it and built the Magnums. I don’t know when they started, but I believe they closed between 2006-2008.

Cam, I think it was the son Brad Heineke. He was building them over on HWY 212. I think in the same building Portland Marine & Electronics is now. (Right behind Haxtons)

I ended up with a 2001 North River 21-footer with a marine power 8.1 and a Hamilton 212. Just out of curiosity, what is your ride?

Thanks everyone got the info. The ride on this boat is one of the best I have been in. But it is heavy, the 8.1 with 212 id nice but wish it had just a little more. Any suggestions.

Very cool boat. I owned a Center Console Magnum for a few years. Extremely heavy but was a great boat to be out on.

It was definitely a boutique boat but appeared to be well made.

The only real downside to mine was it was very underpowered with a 5.8L engine spinning a 2.4T impeller.

Enjoy!
