Wash down pump tie in

Postby lionsden1230 » Fri Jun 15, 2018 8:50 am

Hi everyone, I just joined and picked up a new to me custom weld with a 350 Kodiak and an AT SD 309 pump, my question is I would like to install a wash down pump and I am wondering if I can tee off from my freshwater cooling line before it gets to my heat exchanger, it would be a very simple install, just not sure if it would get enough water volume to the pump.
Thanks in advance for the help.

That's how I did mine and it works perfectly. I installed a ball valve on the line to to wash down pump so I don't have to worry about it freezing in the wintertime. Also know that pressure from the jet pump will push water through the washdown if you don't have it connected to a hose or capped off.
