Welding impellers

Hey what’s every one welding there impellers with for tig rod iv been using 309l but wondering if there is a better rod to use that have better abrasive qualities I know I can get it in stick and mig but never seen some thing with tig

Arc-tec 265s, I normally stick weld it but have used tig as well. Stick welding looks ugly for the first couple of passes but smooths out as you continue welding. Tough stuff and wears well, yet turns on a lathe well enough to machine back to spec.
PS: Hang onto your wallet this stuff isn't cheap.

I've only ever used the 309. Concerning wear, I dunno that there is a difference?
