I was going to post this, you were faster!! Great water and driving. Those boats have a huge power to weight ratio. Brave Ausies.

Bruce , FYI calling a Kiwi an Aussie or vise versa can get you shot. The Rangitata is on the South Island of New Zealand and it is a beautiful river to boat on . :-D

I was going to tell him but I decided to take him into a pub on the south island and watch the action while watching Jet boat videos over beer. Both the Aussie's and Kiwi's are great people. I don't think I have the balls to run that water with the little boats.

Would anybody want to run such a tight river with a big boat? The reverse maneuver was most impressive and pretty sure it was a mechanical/non-powered reverse system.

I'm thinking a 18-19 foot with a bentz nose and a 6.2 SC raptor and a two stage scott and then maybe some lucky charms and lets go. :Drink: :Drink:

Great footage! That spot where the one boat nearly slammed into the wall even made my butt tighten a little! I call that an INTENSE moment. From the boat i wonder if it was as close as it looked from the vid.
