FYI, 4 additional boats ran it the following day at approximately identical flow. So it's really not horribly difficult. Probably the main difficulty is the "Granite at High Water" psychological scariness.

We chickened out at Wild Sheep, but now we're kicking ourselves. Yes, the waves are large, but they are also very long and forgiving. Sort of Probably.

On stuff like that I ride "snowmobile style" with my ass off the seat. So it doesn't hurt as much as you might guess.

By the 3rd run I'd wound down a LOT, so it was a much more relaxed pace. Sort of.
