martial law

Postby viking » Wed Mar 25, 2020 11:46 am

Due to martial law in Oregon and Washington states, it appears to be illegal for ya'll to travel to the boat ramp. Idaho doesn't have this problem. So ha ha ha.

Good point, I suspect a wife's law would overrule any state's marshal laws.

Good plan, as Gov Little just put Idaho on a 21 day lockdown a few hours ago.

But no arrest/citations for failure to comply. Ha! Idaho is still Idaho!

Also, maybe fishing is "gathering food while maintaining distance," and so therefore boating is necessary even in Oregon and Washington.

Connecticut "opened fishing season early to provide a safe recreational activity during this period of limited availability of other options,"

I'm jealous of anyone who can put a boat in the water right now, we are still frozen over up here. Things are starting to melt though. I have some goodies going on the boat soon and I want to be able to test them out.

Yesterday I finished getting my boat useable and planned to go hide out along a river. Wish I should have been a day earlier.
I'm brand new to jet boats so don't listen to anything I say.

If you read the Oregon whatever you call an executive order. I would not call it a law. It doesn't stop anything other than large gatherings. The OSP sent out a news release confirming this. The misdemeanor BS is supposedly a tool they want to be able to use for large gatherings and other blatant violations. I seriously have to question whether any of its constitutional without the feds declaring martial law. Tillamook county tried to say they were closing federal land. Good luck with that.

I am going boating regardless screw them. I pack all food and water. Have a fuel card to pump my own gas and don't use public bathrooms. No contamination here. I am taking Covid19 serious, but I am not sitting at home for two months. It is fully possible to go out without using public services but my guess is most people are not doing that.

Personally I think if they closed all public bathrooms and wrote enormous tickets for improper disposal of human waste they would solve 90 percent of the people that are using this as a vacation. They could do this without stomping all over our liberties.

I read closer through the Idaho thing, and it looks like it is mostly lip service to the alarmists. Fishing is an essential service, as is getting gas. So there ya go. Automobile and similar repair. Firearms dealers. Grocery. Liquor stores. Anything else I'm forgetting?

There isnt a government order ever written that will stop me from being free and outside in the mountains or on a river in my jet boat. These unconstitutional orders are working about as good as "gun free zone signs".

I will not comply
