Its actually nice to finally see a steering wheel in an HCM. Im not a fan of the stick, especially in a 20' boat. Good job

Thank you! We can offer both steering wheels and stick steering, but we decided having a wheel was a more common fit for a boat like this one. It was built as a demo/first for this model line, so we just went with what we thought most people would want. If anyone would like a new boat, we can visit about doing one with a stick.

Thank you,
-Clint

Beauty boat, if the Canadian dollar didn't suck so bad right now I could see you selling a lot of these up here! Love the tube bracing to the top of the swim platform, my vote is to add that to all builds!!

Not to mention the added duty now. Add 30% for the shite dollar, add 10% more for duty. I liked the days when the dollar was closer in value and we had boats duty free. My last 5 jet boats were all US built. #6 will be a Canadian built boat for sure. I just cant justify the added 10%

Steelheadfreak: what is the general story on the duty? I recall Trump put a significant tariff on aluminum imports into the US, so maybe some sort of retaliation?

https://metalboatkits.com/guide-marine-grade-aluminum/

Seems 5086, 5083, 5052 are popular alloys for marine use... Kaiser (my employer for 17 years) doesn't make these alloys, but among others (2xxx / 7xxx) we do make 6061, I believe t6 temper is one version.

FWIW - on the days that I load trucks, I load just shy of a million pounds in a day.

Eagle 1 -

Trentwood makes the raw material (the log) which is a slab... mostly

We (Alutek) cut to length and width, inspect, package, and send out the finished goods. We are the sawmill in one word.
