Darn good hook up with that A T sd309 pump I'd say. :Drink1: :bash:

Why can't it run regular gasoline? The pickup dont require premium

It will run on regular, just not as good as premium.

I have the 2.3 in my Ranger pickup...runs fine on regular but when you put in premium the engine senses it and ramps things up.

Definitely a noticeable difference.

Love this engine...goes like a bat out of hell.

As with most jetboat engines, we all want peak performance from our motors. I too have this motor in my boat.
If I can't find the higher octane go juice as per manufacturer recommendation (which is common up here), I'll add Royal Purple MaxBoost to get the points back up.
Works great!!
Haven't ran regular through it yet, so not sure how it would run on that.

Any more news on this engine with a 212 hooked up? 2.4 or 2.9 impeller?

I'm dreaming of a 24' or 25' twin

Check out Firefish Facebook page, they are running it with a 212 and have done testing with different impellers. I’ve talked
To Steve a few times and seems more than happy to just answer questions like that.

Also Explorer has done a bunch of R&D with the AT pumps and the Ecoboost. Also good people.

Does anyone have a price on this motor, I have looked EVERYWHERE and also tried calling a few dealers but everyone is closed up because of the virus. I really want to start a build with this, but curious to know pricing..

I have 20' 6.5 bottom River Wild center console eco boost, 212 thought it ran great with 2.4 stock impeller would go wide open 4350 48 mph green water but wanted to get more.
I have a history of impeller testing and a great friend that is willing to modify impellers for me. I sent him mine a few weeks ago. told him I wanted 200 rpm. Came back I put it in well 4650 300 more and let me tell you it freed the motor up a great deal. cruse is 100 to 200 more rpm but more ponies and much more responsive quicker far better results but no slip out of the hole no matter what I do. up on step 4 of so seconds up and free at 3300 and the mid range puts you back in the seat like a 70s hot rod. I have been burning 4.7 gal per hr no data yet on the new burn.
the best thing is the modification was very slight tweek on the Impeller.
I was going to buy a solas impeller for 212 and test it then add rpm to it. Bob wanted me to try going the other way.
the norm is to load the motor looking for push thinking that is the answer to better performance better fuel burn.
instead of freeing it up and getting to the horse power. I am convinced that I could go more and it would run even better. Bob just finished a boat for he and his son and the impeller from that boat is on its way for modification, The boat is steptec and lighter. We are meeting soon for testing and data.
Should anyone want this modification pm me I will hook you up. :Drink: CFS

riverboater wrote:Premium fuel, Same issue my engine has, you have to pack it with you as it is hard to find on the river in the middle of nowhere. Not much info on the web site, no weight, dimensions or any real info. I would like a bit more info on the eco-jet I see on the site as well. Hope they e-mail me back with answers to my questions.

Too bad, this would EASILY be avoided with a simple reprogram of ECU.
Actually, if it's done right it should happen automatically at the first instance of detonation.

I bet you can run the cheap stuff without issue guessing they would confirm that.
