Might make for a good twin setup in a 22-26' boat. Good power, light and leaves a lot of room for storage.

Did I miss something? I could not find how much this engine weighs anywhere.

Premium fuel, Same issue my engine has, you have to pack it with you as it is hard to find on the river in the middle of nowhere. Not much info on the web site, no weight, dimensions or any real info. I would like a bit more info on the eco-jet I see on the site as well. Hope they e-mail me back with answers to my questions.

I’ve been told by one of the builders it’s about 350 lbs for the engine. It’s an engine I’m considering and have also been told by 2 different builders that in testing it turned a 2.4 impeller in a 212 just as well as a 350. Though in the size boat I’m thinking about, I could do 2 brp engine/jet packages and be in the same weight range as this engine and 212 or 3-stage.

Cam, we run the thin stuff now with big boats. Bring your big boat to the Clackamas for the day.

We ran the last run at 12.76
I did polish the boat at Beaver Slide. Waiting for 6 more inches of water to run.

I wish this would’ve been an option a year ago. Now hurry up and marinize and supercharge the new 7.3 gasser.

Sure I will drive it! Think I would really like if you change out that merc for one of these ecoboost's.

If this runs like my 575, think they just hit a home run for the under 20' guys.

18 to 20 Salmon, Deschutes, Rogue, and valley river shoulder season boat I couldn't agree more. It's gonna be heavy and long for a super skinny boat below 18ft. Cams boat already free drafts too much water. This is going to weigh what another 150lbs.

Can't wait to ride in one though. This would be perfect for my someday dreamed of 20.

I am very close to pulling the trigger on an ultra skinny summer boat.

It wasn't going to be a Tomcat but....if the price was right I might bite! Shoot me a PM with the number. I am very tight so make sure you run your pencil is ultra sharp.

They sure do a nice job on the marinization then stand behind it for 5 years. Bet one of the smaller Scott pumps would match up perfectly.

2.3 ecoboost finally!!!!

Postby intruder » Sun Jun 02, 2019 1:30 am

Does anyone have any experience with this new engine? Keen to understand the relative weights etc of marinised 2.3 compared to marinised V8. Thank you in advance.

If advertised weights are correct it is 200 lbs less than a 6.2 di. Slightly less power than a 5.7 and about 250lbs lighter. Supposedly around a 5.7 price point but I am finding that hard believe. Looks to me like the big benefit may be fuel economy. I think the only jet with experience is the new one that rogue jet just built. Not sure if they have even ran it yet. Look them up in Facebook. They posted about it.
