Non-skid deck paint

Non-skid deck paint

I'm seeking advise on deck paint. Can't claim any experience in applying non-skid. However, I have experienced deck surfaces that seemed far too sharp and abrasive as well as decks that held on to dirt and were not very easy to clean. My boat is a simple 20' trailer sailor (with a relatively large deck area) and I don't anticipate needing a super aggressive texture. The sprinkling of grit on to fresh paint has less appeal to me. Perusing various vendors I've a preliminary interest in KiwiGrip as well as Total Tread. The Total Tread derives it's texture from some sort of wax. Apparently the KiwiGrip is a very viscous paint that gets it's texture from a unique roller cover. Reviews indicate that the KiwiGrip has a limited rate of coverage and would probably be significantly more expensive. Opinions?
