I checked out the boat ramp last week when heading home from WSS. It does look good. Any advice on running this section to Springdale? I remember a large rock shelf that went across the river when floating it years ago. Have not yet ran it with boat. I figure it might be best before run off to get to know the river in here.

I ran that stretch quite a lot when I had my 24' HCM. The river braids out a few miles below 89 and It gets pretty skinny before and after runoff but is perfectly doable for a skinny water boat if you choose the right channel. It is better to launch down below and run up. The Sheep Mountain boat ramp used to be pretty good, I dont know what it is like now. The Springdale ramp used to work too, it is in full current though so it takes some moves to get the boat on and off the trailer. All those ramps change quite a bit with river flows.

at 89 be careful not to back in to far in when they rebuilt the ramp it was to far into the run off so it is still a drop off on the end. it will be good when the water comes back up. sheep mountain and springdale are petty much unusable. gray bear seams to be the best. but right now there is not much water. but it should be coming soon
