hagerman early October

I thought it was 5500 on the king hill gauge when we ran it in December a few years ago. I didn't remember much different besides the shelf on the north side above the bridge was mostly out of the water. And that one drop about 1/2 way seemed to get a lot bigger. Oh and all the sleepers were exposed.

I tried to look last night but couldn't find the date. It may have been 4 years ago and the flow that day dropped to 6500on the king hill gauge. I'll let Viking do the remembering. :Laugh1:

Viking what time do you plan on leaving town? Just trying to decide what time I need to leave. Looking on line it’s about 3:15 to get there, does that sound accurate?

I figure 3:45 because I don't drive 80 mph into the usual headwind, plus a stop for gas.

Great run everybody! 4 boats at Hagerman, then 3 at King Hill / Peg Leg. A couple of minor scrapes in total, but nothing relevant.

Day use only. But there are a couple pullouts on the hill above. Its probably BLM so should be ok, and zero traffic implies nobody is likely to notice anyway.

I overnighted here a couple of times. There was no prohibitive signage at that time.

The Hagerman area is generally very unusual, with lots of ancient but still functioning water diversion and engineering/power projects. Springs for fish hatcheries, etc. There's a definitely worthwhile hike in this box canyon. Relatively speaking it's like a tropical rain forest.

Great time forsure! Thanks for showing us the ropes Peter! We will definitely be getting out with you again. I’ll leave a couple of them “minor scrapes” as a great memory!

Blue heart springs is a no white water neat thing to see. Clarity to the bottom and you can see the spring bubbling up. Just down stream if Box Canyon. I haven't ran my talker boat up stream if there but I think it's doable at the right flow. Banbury area is the sticky spot. The pipeline across the river isn't super high and it gets shallow and mossy around the islands.

There is paid and non paid camping all over that area. Idaho Power is pretty firm with no camping at their facilities.
