The Payette is almost ready! Projected to peak on Wednesday the 10th then start dropping. Should be a long season on the Payette. :Drink:

I just watched a tree as big as a truck go through Harvey’s rapid. Lots of junk flowing down. Lots of water too

10k is pillowy soft water. Two years ago I remember dodging trees and bobbing dead cows as they came down river.

Half the fun is the obstacle course. You miss the rock but hit the cow you get extra points. That and the pine needles would make for a fun trip right now.

Good news....IJBA has provided a porta pottie at the boat ramp again this year. It was delivered to the boat ramp today.

Ran the Payette tonight to Banks. Really fun at 10200 cfs. A little dirty, raining and cool. Just two kayaks and two other boats. Perfect day! Fun river!

So today the Payette is running about 8000 cfs. Is that a safe flow to run. I've not done it at that lower flow? Planning on going up this afternoon.
