Tentative Hagerman run Sun July 22. Meet above Bliss dam at 11 am. (Sat is also do-able for me.)

This is a relatively noob-friendly run. The ramp is superior. First few miles are on reservoir. Then about 7 miles of more interesting stuff.

Current flow is steady at around 10K, which is good. Glass windows have been blown out at around 13K. At 10K this isn't so likely, but ya never know. Hits have occurred at slightly lower flow. This suggests that some water-reading is required. A billion $ boat is not required. A smaller boat is probably better than a gigantic twin.

For more info, search this forum for "Hagerman noobs". Much video and instructions for this stretch of river can be found.

Post up if interested.

Gonna be in HC that weekend or I’d be all over it. Have not been back since we ran it last spring...

Had a great time this weekend. Water is high enough to make the rock garden less stessfull and meanchicken lots of fun. Only damage was losing a wheel bearing on the way home. Made it on 3 wheels for the last few miles. Also perfect temp for a swim at 68° water temp.

I'd really like to bring the mini down. I should be able to skirt everything right?

And that rapid about half way up with the bigger waves. If the shelf on river left going up has water the probably yes.

Pretty sure I'm thinking if this one. And I would think it would have water at this flow

Since I'm home first I guess that means my word is gospel,

Brandon and I ran the whole stretch twice and meanchicken three times. Meanchicken seemed mean and had at least 50' waves.

The high water got the best of me and I smacked a rock. Damage appears to be limited to a strake. I was pretty sure I just dented a dent which may be a fact anyway. I remember where the dents are about as well as where I actually hit. Peter sent the ladies over with hot dogs so all as good,

After that the 5 of us piled in Viking's new boat and ran Meanchicken 3 more times and the entire loop once more. Brandon and I discussed mutiny and over taking the ship but both of us agreed the stick is on the wrong side.

And don't tell him but I put the first scratch on the new boat.

The right side. That's why they call it right.

Shifter on the left sounds soooo European.

Edit....I misread the shifter one. Anyway left is wrong. :)

Is this like the earing thing? Because I disagree.

And I need to stop posting from my phone. The autocorrect is owning me.

I had a girlfriend once who was a Mensa member, and due to her extreme intellijunce, was unable to distinguish left from right. In this case, stick between knees is best solution. (It's unclear why she was able to drive on the correct side of the road.)

So I could have been grabbing the wrong stick when I hit?
