You guys have a great time, I'll have to miss it once again. My wife's leg still is not heeled enough for her to be independent. I'll be thinking of you all. Dennis

The slide at slightly higher flow than we're likely to see. On the up-run hit it not insanely fast, just comfortably on plane. The flow is pretty linear, so any bow shear is easy to predict (sort of). As flow comes down you can't hug the bank so much on the first climb.

Do you guys need permits to run the river?

Yes, but this is not yet primary season, so there is no limit to number of permits.

Woo hoo! Record attendance is predicted! Our armada, so vast, will blot out the sun, and the fish will think it is night as we pass overhead!

I should have that covered. Ordered an 8 gallon clear tank with a fitting on the bottom to attach valve and hose.

If that fails we can cut a hole in the bottom of one of my 6 gallon cans.

Just buy one of these

Wish I would have seen that before ordering those shaker siphon hoses.

Unfortunately, we still need a giant funnel though. The fuel truck must put out 100gpm and the nozzle is too large for our boats or our gas cans. Last time we used a regular 1 gallon funnel and things didn't go well. There is no feathering of the trigger on the fuel truck. It's either on or off.

Brandon, is there a way to make the fuel delivery pump on the fuel truck, to cavitate? A straw, a stick? Aerate the fuel supply as it is being pumped from the truck?
(Slow it down a bit)

I'm serious, I could imagine the frustration at re-fuel.

Probably not without seriously modifying the fuel truck, which isn't likely to happen. It has a valve that appears difficult to crack open. Either it's open or not. I don't know why or how. It also has a handle thingy just like at a gas station, but it's feathering ability is near zero. Pull the trigger and blast-o-la.

Devil's teeth rapid. At expected flow the line is similar, but the boulders are nearly submerged. This is something like 15 miles downstream from Corn Creek.

You need one of those big mouth 15gal jugs with a fitting out the bottom/side. Wish I could make it over, great run last year. :(

If it's a PTO driven pump (likely) it may be possible to run the engine at a lower rpm or play the start/shutdown game with it.

Sorta what I have planned, although not actually rated for fuel. Hoping it'll suffice as a funnel.

I am a witness to the armada as I was salmon fishing on Saturday as well as Sunday below the ramp as they came by. A lot more red was observed on high decks on way back on Sunday.

Indeed, much fuel was burned. The fuel truck actually was modified to deliver fuel at approximately normal filling station speed, and with a normal size nozzle. It was a miraculous improvement.
