ECM Tuning

Postby ccg818 » Sat Dec 08, 2018 10:26 am

Guys I have bought a 2009 Yamaha FX Cruiser SHO 1.8L supercharged as a donor for my 15ft Center Console project. I'm curious what software guys are using to disable some of the sensors on these things. Steering lock/reverse etc. I assume some ECM mods will be needed or codes will be thrown? Thanks

the yamahas work good just tape the magnet to the reverse censer and just plug the steering censer in to the harness

Thanks I should have posted again but after some more research it appears that with the Yamahas like you said the steering lock and reverse sensors can just be left hooked up and hidden out of the way. For the speed sensor/ water temp sensor wheel I have ordered a gps plug for it to get rid of the wheel but still keep the speed.
