24 FT White water special

Postby customweld-1 » Tue Sep 13, 2016 5:05 pm

this is a 24ft white water special. 1/4 inch 7ft bottom with a 108 beam. this is our first WW for 2017 and were doing a few things different.. There is a slight rocker in the bottom we are doing our structure a little different. It will have a 4 point motor mount and the engine compartment will be deeper for better storage and axcess to the engine. Its looking good so far!!!

ok, here are a few more pics. we got to hull put together and almost all the welding done before we unbolt it from the jig and flip it over. we are very pleased with the hull structure and the way the bow turned out. We are always trying to add strength and lose weight.

The rocker in the bottom of the boat.. Well, trying to explain in a messages ill do my best.. Its really not a huge difference in our hulls but a little change can go a long way. So after talking to many boaters, of all brands !!! I tried to put everything together about what guys liked and didn't like.. I found pros and cons to every hull out there.. just depends on who you talk to and what you use the boat for. so, with that being said. I have some great boat builders that work for me, they also have had the opportunity to go work at other shops and lean for them self's what works and what doesn't. I'm not going to mention names on here but a few of my crew members worked for me then went to the HCM shop and now have found there way back home. so after talking to everyone and even my up river neighbor has gave me some good advise, we decided to put in a small rocker in this build.. So whats that mean??????
Basically we are holding down the back of the bottom for about three ft before we let it start to come up. This will lift the bow of the boat up just a little.

ok, we had a few days so we pulled the 24 white water back in.. We finished the bottom and got it flipped back over today. We were all very pleased with the way the rocker turned out. We also did the planning strakes a little different and also added the wide chine cap. The whole crew is excited to see this boat on the water. We just need more time to finish it. I haven't decided what motor to put in it and what color.. Any suggestions..?????

Raptor. No paint on the outside just your cool stripes and white interior. It makes the inside so nice and bright. No paint outside makes it so much easier to take care of. A little acid and it looks like new.

Raptor, I like the boats with less paint. And a nice decal.

It's sure nice to accessorize! :Noteeth: Getting more into night fishing, and also thinking radar, the only way I came up with was an arch! ...Dome, lights, speakers, flag pole, tackle tray...Oh! My! Lol!

Looks like there are plenty of towers and arches out there, but something custom is always better!
A quick search, and this looks to have the same contours is my top! ;)

Your placement of the light bar looks like it was meant to be! :Noteeth:
