Hello everybody;
I think I could help with SOLAR and SIBRIVER boats. SOLAR boats manufacture is in my town, Novosibirsk and SIBRIVER not too far from me - in Krasnoyarsk (about 400 miles from me). So, if anybody really need help with buying these boats - we just need to find out good and affordable carrier to ship boat from Siberia to USA or Canada. They are around 100 lb and I think by DHL or FedEx it will be extremely expencive. But I think we could find affordable solution. I will talk with local post office and some other express curriers...I am pretty sure that SOLAR or SIBRIVER or some other company's (who make similar inflatable jet tunnel boats - we have a few of them now in Russia) - they will give me some small discounts so you guys will have the same price like direct from the factory. Let's see... Who is first? :-D

Hi Alex, I'm in Canada and I would be interested in trying the Sibriver Abakan-JET 430 with the adjustable transom bracket for my jet outboard. As long as the shipping is not to expensive I'm very serious about trying to ship one to Canada. Any help you would be able to give me would be much appreciated, thanks.

HI -

I'm new here to the board. I was curious to see if anyone had made any progress on having one of these Russian zodiac-style inflatables, but with the tunnel hull, imported to the US or Canada?

I think you guys are crazy. Just get a Lund 1448MT and add a 25hp Merc factory jet. I have one and it will take you wherever you want to go with 2 guys. Runs in wet grass and you wont pop a hole in it. A bear wont take a bite out of it and leave you stranded and it will last forever. Problem with inflatables is the sun beats on them as well as time.

Steelheadfreak -

Will the Lund handle the same kind of whitewater? I was only thinking inflatable because it seems to be more forgiving - particularly if you're just learning - and if the nose of the boat takes a dive in big water, you're not going to sink it.

LOL......No the lund wont take big white water. Its for skinny shallow water. If you are just learning you shouldn't be in white water anyway! I take my Lund all over the place. I do however avoid and rapids over about a 1.5 feet. Its not what it was made for.

Lund 1448MT is 365 LBS!!!!!! Now that’s crazy. A SibRiver or Solar is 200 LBS lighter and can be deflated and hauled in a bush plane or atv. Also the Lund has no tunnel. A Merc 25 jet is not a great choice either, it’s heavy and not real potent. Etec 30 w/jet would be a better choice.

My 1448MT is 215lbs. Don't know where you got the 365lbs from. The merc jet is 187lbs. No tunnel but never needed one on this boat as of yet. The etec 30 would be a great choice but its no lighter than the merc 25. Actually, its heavier. That said, it will pack more of a punch for sure being a 2S. If you are looking to pack a boat on a plane, with a 200lb+ motor.....it wont be a bush plane. Unless 2 of the guys don't get to go or you make 2 trips.....lol

Lund, the manufacture of your boat, lists the dry weight for the 1448 at 365 LBS…I’ll trust that. Also the etec is a little lighter and I can think of a dozen bush planes that can easily lift two guys, inflatable, jet drive and all their gear.

I must be on dope. My mistake. My boat is a LOWE not a lund. Its actually listed at 260lbs.

Interesting tunnel design from Solar Boats in Russia, they call it the Arrow Jet Tunnel.

Not sure if it would reach my door, or what the shipping costs would be.

Did you ever pursue this further? I'm interested in a similar boat,can't seem to find a light weight jet anymore in Canada

So for what its worth I saw this Solar-420 pop up on Amazon for $3,000 with shipping for $93.

https://www.amazon.com/Solar-420-Tunnel ... e+jet+boat

Seems way over priced because Solar's website list the same 420 boat for 89,000 Rubles which is about $1,500 USD. I think the SibRiver-380 is even less at 59,000 Rubles so about a grand.
