Finally got her out this weekend with the datalogger, I'm impressed!! Aside from the impressive launch like the Bean boat, cruise and WOT top end is yielding an average 3 more mph with the same fuel flow as it did with the 212 with the same load. It is turning more RPM than it did with the 212, 3300 for 30 mph cruise and 4550 WOT at 50 mph GPS. I will swap to the smaller nozzle insert and compare in a couple weeks.

And no cavitation or blow outs, just a 4800 rpm flare which subsides in a boat length :)

Hey Jeff
Do you know anything about somebody having issues with breaking the buckets on the new pump? Isolated incident, bad casting for the bucket, any ideas? We're looking to have a boat built and I'd really like to go with the Scott. Thanks for any info.

Hi Chris ,

Yes we did have one bucket that the customer claims failed ' just like that" . It has been a one off incident . We are not sure as to the cause as the customer has yet to return the broken one for us to inspect so we are questioning the " just like that " statement until we see the broken bucket in person. That being said any possible scenario's that could have lead to any possible flaws in the bucket casting have been addressed on our part to insure that the possibility of that happening again has been eliminated .
