Sounds like this is a serious upgrade I should consider for my 20' Cobra....I have the 312 and love it..with the stock impeller I go about 45mph top end and get up on step easy with a full load...I eat a lot of garbage...is it pretty easy to change over yourself? or is it better to get a pro to do it? I need to be faster then coho dr at all times LOL

Cheers,
Mike

I have the same question on an upgrade for a SD-309. Please let me know. Also, what would the cost be on swapping out a SD-309 with a SD-312?

Thanks!

I did the change from the SD 312 to the 203 in my CW Cobra with Kodiak 350 fuel injected. The kit came with the 3.1 KW impeller and the 4.2 nozzle insert. Installing the kit was straight forward. On the water, 4 fat boys with full gas tank and ice chest. The hole shot is greatly improved and the mid range response is much better. Top speed 43 mph @ 4100 rpm. We ran the test run on the Sacramento river so have not test the pump in white water yet. The sound level in the boat is lower also. The SDR reverse seemed the same as the HTR 11 I had with the 312 to me. Low speed maneuvering was good even with the single lever control. I had duel lever control on the 312.
I am very happy with the 203 :Drink: .

I have a 312 and a buddy with a 203 wants to trade. Do I need to send him the nozzle and sdr bucket from mine or just the middle section, impeller and wear ring?
If anyone who has done this swap has instructions that would be great!
